Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Never Let Me Go” by Kazuo Ishiguro.
Today I pray, “Dear God, My challenges are laid to rest in communication. I communicate with You. I communicate with the people around me. I go within and communicate the truth from my Higher self. All of these communications are so valuable to me. And in this, I thank You for communication. Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to reveal this passage:
“It never occurred to me that our lives, until then so closely interwoven, could unravel and separate over a thing like that. But the fact was, I suppose, there were powerful tides tugging us apart by then, and it only needed something like that to finish the task. If we’d understood that back then – who knows? -maybe we’d have kept a tighter hold of one another.”

There is something to be said of communication. Pardon the pun. We live in an era of verbal expression. Typing our opinions on this website and that. Complaints, retaliations, consumer dissatisfation, rival disenchantment. Easy words. Less talk, more action? Yes. Action is a splendid communication! The kind of action that shows the way. One in-kind action every day can change the course of history on the planet.
This reminds me of a project I launched in 2011 called “One In Kind”. Green rubber bracelts were handed out as complimentary invitations at a local church I worked for that year. On the bracelets, engraved into the flexible rubber, were the words “One In Kind”. With each bracelet was an attached postcard. The postcard briefly explained the project. Provide one in-kind action for someone else, take off your green (the color of our heart Chakras) bracelet, and give it to the person who received your in-kind action, inviting them to provide an in-kind action for someone else. A hot-potato-pay-it-forward, if you will.
These are the types of projects I enjoy launching. They have all the potential in the world to evolve into massive positiveity and highly impactful compassion. Communication of peaceful action. Movements. Causes. Communities. All based in Love.
You’re welcome!
