Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Siddhartha” by Herman Hesse.
Today I pray, “Dear God, Gratitude and Blessings flow to me on this day of Thanksgiving. This year especially, my thankfulness is of great depth and understanding. I have strength in this gratitude. And life is full of wonder and delight. Thank You for this life, God. I love You. Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to reveal this passage:
“I have always believed, and I still believe, that whatever good or bad fortune may come our way we can always give it meaning and transform it into something of value.”
—HERMAN HESSE
This is a space for reflection. As each of us has our own personal resonance with something from this past year that has been a good or bad fortune. And each of us has a way to transform it. This is a space for thanksgiving. For all that is of life. And for all the possibility we may transform into. Amen.
