Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Woman on the Edge of Time” by Marge Piercy.

Today I pray, “Dear God, Women really are the more powerful species. My immediate apology about that statement is extended to all of Your glorious men. I love all men, too. …But I love women more. Because that is my choice. And that choice makes me happy. Amen.”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to reveal this passage:

“We can only know what we can truly imagine. Finally what we see comes from ourselves.”

It is time for women to be the more powerful species. It is a new earth. Yin steps forward in leadership to show Yang that the divine sacred feminine regards equilibrium as the whole. And that, and that alone, is true leadership. I see a world of the divine feminine as a world that finally works. I see a new earth of women as the obviously more powerful species as the new earth for which we have been waiting. I suddenly realize that there is really nothing more to say in this, as it is so easily realized that no qualification is required. Women already qualify themselves on planet earth. And most of my previous lifetimes may very well have been lived as men. Perhaps I wanted to come into this lifetime with grace, to live this lifetime with grace, and to exit this lifetime with grace. Happily a woman. Happily with her.
