Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Little Women” by Louise May Alcott.
Today I pray, “Dear God, Thank You for my good female friends. They are powerful, brilliant, and compassionate. Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“Don’t laugh at the spinsters, dear girls, for often very tender, tragic romances are hidden away in the hearts that beat so quietly under the sober gowns, and many silent sacrifices of youth, health, ambition, love itself, make the faded faces beautiful in God’s sight. Even the sad, sour sisters should be kindly dealt with, because they have missed the sweetest part of life, if for no other reason.”

It is so much fun to be a single woman. I love it. I am in a committed relationship, which I love equally, as important as it is for me to balance single life with my love for my cherished friend. My women in my life contribute something needed. And I cannot imagine going at life without them. I am blessed with them, indeed.
