Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘Life’s Little Instruction Book’ by H. Jackson Brown Jr.

Today I pray, “Dear God, Sometimes I get a little disconnected from this daily practice. It becomes boring, humdrum, and I wait for excitement to take flight. How do I reconnect to a feeling of adventure that elevates the senses?”

Following my prayer, I opened the book to this passage:

“Begin each day with your favorite music.”

I love this. I wasn’t expecting something so simple. Listening to a favorite song that brings me back to my own sense of creativity tunes me in to take off on the lovely journey that is a new day. Music heightens the mind toward elation and peace. And we may choose a beat that fills our hearts with joy and ease. Ready for take off. Beat beat. Beat beat.
