Today’s Prayer to Passage is from the book ‘The Complete Idiot’s Guide to The Law of Attraction’ (that title still makes me laugh out loud) by Diane Ahlquist.
And today I pray, “Heavenly God, I believe the children are our future. What are your teachings today on modern education?”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands. I opened the book to this discernment:
“The Least You Need To Know:
Don’t expect the law to work without effort and concentration from you.
When negative thoughts creep into your mind, use the “cancel” method to keep yourself positive.
If you want a guarantee that the law of attraction is going to work, that means you’re doubting the power of the universe.
Misconceptions about the law of attraction are common; recognize them for what they are and continue to remain positive.”

If you have read some of my previous blog posts, you may have noticed that I am interested in God’s Law of Attraction. In fact, I believe this is precisely what prayer is, except prayer has less syllables. The Law of Attraction and modern day education both seem like a means to an end. The only seeming difference is people with PhDs living on ramen because not even their luxury academia can land them a job to pay bills much beyond their student loans. This is probably a crisis, but I have educated myself within the law of attraction, so I don’t see it as a crisis. I see it as an opportunity.
And now you’re thinking, “Oh, she’s one of those. Opportunity; blah, blah, blah.” Just kidding, I don’t really think you’re thinking that — even if you are. I don’t know. Let’s be smart about this. How ’bout I just continue typing short sentences that contradict one another until I figure it out. Getting back to the lesson, I honestly believe that there are subjects that should be taught to children in school that currently are not, such as the laws of the universe.
Another topic for another day. There’s the bell. Have a great weekend!
