Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from “The Book of Joy” by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, with Douglas Abrams.
Today I pray, “Dear God, Thank You for allowing me the discernment to carry on gracefully within the free will that is all around me. Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to reveal this passage:
“There’s a Tibetan saying: ‘Wherever you have friends, that’s your country, and wherever you receive love, that’s your home.'”
—DALAI LAMA
I have many, many homes. There is so much love all around me. I receive continually. I am continually blessed. Not a clichéd blessedness, a true blessedness. Every day is a new opportunity for love to be given and continually received. Every day is a new pleasure. Every day is a new surprise. Some days I weep within the blessedness. Some days I share celebration through laughter. And some days I simply sing. Love is all around me, and in this, I am all ways home.
