Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “A New Earth: Awakening to your Life’s Purpose” by Eckhart Tolle.

Today I pray, “Dear God, I love how this book fits our human experience more and more since its having been published. What is a beautiful reminder from this book, ‘A New Earth’ in 2017? Amen.”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to reveal this passage:

“Anything that you resent and strongly react to in another is also in you.”

This passage is a beautiful evolution of yesterday’s post about our current era of communication and freedom for full self-expression. It’s not all daisies, rainbows, fairies, and unicorns in our present day social media circles. And today’s passage is a good reminder of our personal responsibilities and accountabilities in the integrity required in non-violent communication. Self-reflection is a form of meditation, and meditation is an opportunity for growth. Rather than stammer on about my personal viewpoints regarding today’s passage and its resonance as a follow-up to today’s prayer, I request that we take our own personal moments to reflect upon the passage and notice how it mirrors specific instances in our individual interactions with others. I will memorize today’s passage and utilize it as a daily meditation for one full week. I look forward to the experience of how today’s passage unfolds into lessons, personally, for me. Love to all.
