FINALLY BE CONSISTENT

Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “A Course in Miracles” scribed by Helen Schucman.

For this month of January, I have chosen to work with this book as a beloved inquiry, as I have been drawn to “A Course in Miracles” for about six months. It is in deepest gratitude and love for all that I present passages from this book to you through prayer. Here we go!…

Today I pray, “Dear God, This weekend will be one of rest and reflection. This weekend I am to look at three powerful themes: Shame, vulnerability, and authenticity. What am I to draw upon in my discovery of insight into these? Amen.”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to reveal this passage on page 15:

“No one questions the connection of learning and memory. Learning is impossible without memory since it must be consistent to be remembered. That is why the Holy Spirit’s teaching is a lesson in remembering. I said before that he teaches remembering and forgetting, but the forgetting is only to make the remembering consistent. You forget in order to remember better. You will not understand His translations while you listen to two ways of interpreting them. Therefore you must forget or relinquish one to understand the other. This is the only way you can learn consistency, so that you can finally be consistent.”
—A COURSE IN MIRACLES

It is time. It is time to finally be consistent. It is time to be finally be consistent in work, health, emotions, and love. I am freeing myself into this consistency. This is a new beginning in my life. I am creative. I am passionate. I have ideas. I have received a Promotion. I am patient in all of this. And I am here to receive.
