COMMITMENT AMIDST BREAKDOWNS

Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Simple Abundance” by Sarah Ban Breathnach.

Today I pray, “Dear God, I could have walked away from my commitments on several occasions this past month. Yet I remained. Committed. To health, wellbeing, love, humanity, contribution, generosity, healing, family, community, prayer, faith, and hope. Thank You for these commitments. Amen.”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to reveal this passage:

“In the Bible, the angels who intervened in the lives of humans were most often strangers who appeared on the scene just once, gave assistance, and then disappeared as mysteriously as they arrived. From all the published firsthand accounts, the standard angelic operating procedure hasn’t changed in five thousand years.”
—SARAH BAN BREATHNACH

I love angels. I see them often. They show up like people. They appear like people, I experience them like people, I experience myself as someone having an experience with people. You get the premise. And then, minutes, or hours, or days, or weeks, or months, or years later… I recall their essence. And a realization comes forth, angelic. In noting people as angels, I am able to see myself in this view. Angelic. Committed to being angelic. And the experience… it never leaves me. It is eternal.
