Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Meditations”
by Marcus Aurelius.

Today I pray, “Dear God, Does meditation exist outside of free will? And if so, how?”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:

“It is in your own power to maintain the beauty of your soul, or to be a decent human being.”
—MARCUS AURELIUS

As life on earth as human beings consists of free will, we choose our virtues while we are here. Outside of this, we also choose the ways in which to further expand our connections to Source. Meditation is a conscious action of choice, and we all ways maintain the choice of conscious action in the midst of our place with the Divine.
