Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Animal Farm” by George Orwell.
Today I pray, “Dear God, OK. I’ll be playful with this one. What do You love most about animals?”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“Let’s face it: our lives are miserable, laborious, and short.”
—GEORGE ORWELL
Well, this simply brings my humanity to an essence of vitality and appreciation! Most humans are glad to be human. We have connection and alignment. Yes, we have our demands for better conditions. Yet our gratitude for our physical experiences is in being here first. And in knowing, as far as our human minds can know, that we are here. Our true aliveness is remembered in this clarity.
