PERKS OF THE CONSTANT WAVE

Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” by Stephen Chbosky.

Today I pray, “Dear God, Today I was in a car, traveling with my cherished friend. And I did that thing where we stick a hand out the window and allow the air to move with hand in a constant wave. Thank You for the constant wave. Amen.”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:

Joy in the moment. Empowering, delicious, ever expanding joy. To touch it, taste it, own it. This is the moment. These are the people. This is why we came here, and this is why we return. This is why we sleep and dream; to awaken to another day of joy and heart and empowerment. To free ourselves to a place of freedom where we do not remember ever being not freed.
