Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Stranger in a Strange Land” by Robert A. Heinlein.
Today I pray, “Dear God, Tradition is more now than it was then, and tradition will be more then than it is now. Because everything is constantly expanding now. And now. And now. Thank You for this.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“Though I’ve never understood how God could expect his creatures to pick the one true religion by faith—it strikes me as a sloppy way to run a universe.”
—ROBERT A. HEINLEIN
The leading edge is more satisfying. A shift, a quantum leap, is that the future is already being lived now. And in our now, as we explore the unwanted, our future is benefitting of it. And the more potential for joy is realized by all. And each of us, with God, is a part of this expansion. Neverending, always interested, always passionate, always alive, all ways — Love.
