LIVE AND ACT WITHIN

Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘Atlas Shrugged’ by Ayn Rand.

Today I pray, “Dear God, When we are in a place on earth that is the pinnacle of why we came here, yet we haven’t learned quite enough lessons to realize this, we can only look back upon this time as a brightest memory. What are words of comfort surrounding us in light as we look with 20/20 vision to that powerful past moment? Amen.”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:

“Live and act within the limit of your knowledge and keep expanding it to the limit of your life.”
—AYN RAND

In an insightful way, we may act now in a way that we wish we would have acted upon life back then. When we look to the past to see how much more we would have enjoyed and reveled in a timeframe — if only we knew then how powerful it was — we may now look at the present to apply that delight and power to life as it is. This looking glass serves as a gift; for to see the transformation that is available is to see the satisfaction we may now build for our futures. We are as powerful today as we would have been on that day in the past. If not, more so. And without the past to look upon as a lesson, we could not have arrived to this moment to create the brilliance that is now ours.
