Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne.

Today I pray, “Dear God, As an intercessory prayer, what are some aspects of life I should be praying for at this time?.”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:

“The Secret: Law of Attraction. We attract what is happening in our lives.”

Sometimes I honestly feel like I get lucky. For today’s passage to be the basic and confirmed definition of the book is astonishing to me. It is as though I attracted The Secret, which happens to be the Law of Attraction. That’s a lot of infinity going on up in there! Now, on to what it means within my current discernment.

If I am to pray for others — and need guidance, Godly, toward a subject of prayer — I see in today’s passage a calling to pray on the behalf of one’s inherent capacity for attracting an unfolding tangible and intangible abundance. In each person’s abundance, we are all connected and we all benefit. And so, to pray that one resumes the artful Law of Attraction may be a secret I am keeping from that person, as any prayer could be. Yet praying for others to attain such a pure essence is likened to an ancient Chinese proverb: “If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime.” Give a person power, freedom, full self-expression, and peace of mind and they will enjoy it while it is fleeting. Pray for a person to consistently attract such a transformation of their own accord, and then pray for another person… and another… and another….
