OBSERVATION AND WITNESSING

Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘The Seat of the Soul’ by Gary Zukav.

Today I pray, “Dear God, In my contributions of raising children — through teaching, counseling, and being an eldest child — I am whole and complete. And I received the depths of lessons born from those experiences. I may have been a mother in past lives, and I welcome the opportunity to be a mother in a future life. I see mothers all around me, learning their own desired lessons in this lifetime. And I am whole, complete, and perfect as I am — in this cycle of observation and witnessing, knowing that I am contributing something on another plane of existence…somewhere…somehow. Amen.”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:

“Every action, thought, and feeling is motivated by an intention, and that intention is a cause that exists as one with an effect…In this most profound way, we are held responsible for every action, thought, and feeling, which is to say, for our every intention.”
—GARY ZUKAV

I absolutely love this passage. It is a succinct summation of so many lessons I have received. My intention is to continue in this realm of contentedness and gratitude, honoring God for the infinity of blessings with which I create intention. I am exactly where I am supposed to be in this time of observation and witnessing. And my responsibilities are privileges, preceding new actions for new completions. There is no other place in history I would rather be.
