Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘Yes Man’ by Danny Wallace.
Today I pray, “Dear God, May we all, each and every one of us Your child, follow our callings born of our listening. Thank You for teaching us through something we recognize; our own fragile and miraculous humanity. Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“Take the stupidest thing you’ve ever done. At least it’s done. It’s over. It’s gone. We can all learn from our mistakes and heal and move on. But it’s harder to learn or heal or move on from something that hasn’t happened; something we don’t know and is therefore indefinable; something which could very easily have been the best thing in our lives, if only we’d taken the plunge, if only we’d held our breath and stood up and done it, if only we’d said yes.”
Saying yes can happen more often than we realize. In our thoughts. This is my beginning. For everything, I am here. And I will be honored and acknowledged for this before I go. Because I say yes to this, too.
