I pray, “Dear God, Revitalize my soul to live with purpose. Awaken my spirit to flourish with intent. Place upon me Your energizing Promise. Amen.”

September 4:

“IN CLOSENESS TO ME, you are safe. In the intimacy of My Presence, you are energized. No matter where you are in the world, you know you belong when you sense My nearness. Ever since the Fall, man has experienced a gap in emptiness that only My Presence can fill. I designed you for close communication with your Creator. How I enjoyed walking in the garden with Adam and Eve before the evil one deceived them!

When you commune with Me in the garden of your heart, both you and I are blessed. This is My way of living in the world—through you! Together we will push back the darkness, for I am the Light of the world.”

“In the intimacy of My Presence, you are energized.” Yesterday and today I have felt very low energy. The only moment I had a slight surge was during the last 30 minutes of work yesterday. Because the power went out. And the office staff members were all popped up from their desks like meerkats, smiling and joking for the first time in eight hours. I often feel exhausted by hour 40 of my work week. I longed for a hammock and a cool breeze all day.

I really need to take a moment during the day to step away from my workstation and talk to God. Even time away from work can be exhausting. Family gatherings, vacations, weekend errands… Bringing back the Presence of God to any moment of low energy can make all the difference. Sometimes we look for energy everywhere other than The Light of the world. With this, we have the lightness of life.
