Today’s Prayer to Passage continues within “The Hero’s Journey” by Joseph Campbell.  This month’s spiritual devotion within these writings will be taking place between July 1 – July 27, 2017

Today I pray, “Dear God, I am in a state of celebration, comfort, and home.  I am driving two hours after work today to spend the American holiday at my parents’ home, in the countryside where I grew up.  I am looking forward to a day outside the city.  And more celebration, comfort, and home.  Thank You for this.  Amen.”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in may hands and opened it to reveal this passage:

“Reading what you want, and having one book lead to the next, is the way I found my discipline.”
