Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “How to Heal a Broken Wing” by Bob Graham.
Today I pray, “Dear God, Adults seem busy, in uneasy ways. Children seem busy, too. In meaningful ways. I love adults and what they contruibute through the lessons they learn over time. And oh, how I love children and their contributions by their simply being here, being playful and authentically emotional and so full of hope and wonder. May we all become busy children in our own grown-up ways. Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to reveal this passage:
“A loose feather can’t be put back… but a broken wing can sometimes heal.”
—BOB GRAHAM
With faith like a child, all may heal. Childlike wonder calls to me with echoing giggles. I love being playful. I love living life with childlike faith and hope. May we all be healed in the gladness of being alive, with the simple unfettered nature of our heart’s desires.
