Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “A Course in Miracles” scribed by Helen Schucman.
In this glorious first month of 2017, I am spending all of January within “A Course in Miracles”. This is a first for me, remaining with one book for an entire month’s time. I am relaxed and calm in the nature of these writings. I hope that there is something here within this one-month inquiry that resonates with you, leaving you feeling moved and inspired, as well.
Today I pray, “Dear God, Today I launched my own women’s movement, praymom.com on Facebook. I awoke in the middle of the night in 2009 to the telepathically delivered words “praymom.com”. I went downstairs to my computer and logged on to godaddy.com to see if the web address was available. The web address was open and offered to me for $12.99. And I owned it before sunrise. Eight years later, I have created a Facebook community page of the same name. The web address sits empty, as to build it to run like Facebook has been a feat that I was not willing to take on at this time. It was a blast today, watching it launch. Watching it be born into the worldwide community. And I will be forever listening for your nudges, hints, and whispers at all times of the day and all hours of the night.
Power up. Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to reveal this passage on page 421:
“My Self is the ruler of the universe.
“It is impossible that anything should come to me unbidden by myself. Even in this world, it is I who rule my destiny. What happens is what I desire. What does not occur is what I do not want to happen. This must I accept. For thus am I led past this world to my creations, children of my will, in Heaven where my holy Self, abides with them and Him Who has created me.You are the Self Whom You created Son, creating like Yourself and One with You. My Self, which rules the universe, is but Your Will in perfect union with my own, which can but offer glad assent to Yours, that it may be extended to Itself.”
Prayer is the world of creations. And it is designed to fit the times. Posting prayer requests on Facebook is a modern retreat to release ourselves from carrying burdens in solitude. We release our desires to others, and ask and allow that others may assist in the creations of these desires. There is community here, solidarity, and unity. There is space to be. Space to express desire. Space to wonder and to hope. Assenting to freedom exists in the very comfort we desire, and expressing these desires sets forth comfort with velocity and momentum.
Prayer Up.
