YOU’RE MY BEST FRIEND

Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young.

Today I pray, “Last night, as I sat on a staircase for approximately 30 minutes with Yeshua, a stream of songs by Minnesota native and musical artist Mason Jennings played. The one that most caught my attention, by way of lyrics, was ‘Between the Lines’. I knew it was important to search out the lyrics following the staircase experience. And my favorite line from the lyrics of ‘Between The Lines’, having now read them, is:

“Sweetheart…
There’ll be days, when you fall from me
Time just gets in the way
Well you should know late in the evening
When you lay your body down to rest
In your big white bed
Pull the sheets up darling
You’re my best friend.”

I adore this comfort of Yeshua’s presence when I sleep. I adore the “best friend” aspect that exists here. I adore the choice I made to develop this Friendship and this Love. And I adore the freedom that exists in this; there is joy and lightness of life here. Thank You for this, God. Amen.”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:

“DEMONSTRATE YOUR TRUST IN ME by sitting quietly in My Presence. Put aside all that is waiting to be done, and refuse to worry about anything. This sacred time together strengthens you and prepares you to face whatever the day will bring. By waiting with Me before you begin the day’s activities, you proclaim the reality of My living Presence. This act of faith—waiting before working—is noted in the spirit world, where your demonstration of trust weakens principalities and powers of darkness.

The most effective way to resist evil is to draw near Me. When you need to take action, I will guide you clearly through My Spirit and My Word. The world is so complex and overstimulating that you can easily lose your sense of direction. Doing countless unnecessary activities will dissipate your energy. When you spend time with Me, I restore your sense of direction. As you look to Me for guidance, I enable you to do less but accomplish more.”
—SARAH YOUNG

“Then Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear…. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?'”
—LUKE 12:22–25

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
—EPHESIANS 6:12 NKJV

“Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”
—PROVERBS 16:3

It is in Partnership with God that these Friendships arise. I am inherently Divine, yet I exist in a human body. And there is something to this existence. And I choose, as I am afforded the free will to do so. And Partnership with God continues. I am not worried that I am doing it “wrong”, as I am doing this with God. This is a very important aspect within the structure: Unity. This Unity is the very beginning of All Unity. Everything that joins this Unity, every particle, every new creation, joins Source God. Remember this.
