Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” by J.K. Rowling.
Today I pray, “Dear God, Even though I experience You as The Most High God, The Creator of ALL Creators, I experience You as being both metaphysically above all that is and within me simultaneously. What is to be known amid all of this? Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“I don’t expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through human veins, bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses… I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death — if you aren’t as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach.”

I love God’s sense of humor. It is as if God is saying, “You already know! Why then must you continue to ask? Do you ask to teach others through your questions? Well, then, here is an answer.” I already have all that I need to attain all that I already know. Perhaps it is in the attainment of things I have not yet experienced that is the purpose for why I am here. To give, to exist, to be. To love. And to love more.
