Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Common Sense, The Rights of Man and Other Essential Writings”
by Thomas Paine.
Today I pray, “Dear God, When we miss You and wonder why we are here, in this life, what is a common sense reminder? Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“I know a place in America called Point-no-Point, because as you proceed along the shore, gay and flowery as Mr. Burke’s language, it continually recedes and presents itself at a distance before you; but when you have got as far as you can go, there is no point at all. Just thus it is with Mr. Burke’s three hundred and fifty-six pages. It is therefore difficult to reply to him. But as the points he wishes to establish may be inferred from what he abuses, it is in his paradoxes that we must look for his arguments.”
—THOMAS PAINE
I recently heard that Yeshua stated that his life lessons were to learn self-love and surrender. And Dolores Cannon noted in her work with thousands of clients in the deepest level of hypnosis that the lessons of life for humans are emotions and limitations. With self-love, there is no need for fear and no need to be controlled by emotions. With surrender, we may allow limitations of earthly life to wash over us and wane as the natural tide of an ocean. As the earth’s moon enhances emotions and circulates ocean tides, this depiction of a natural flow of our emotional guidance systems in the midst of our seeming limitations is one that we may accept and move with, not against. Surrender to Love. Be in the presence of the waning of our true heart’s desire.
