Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book “Tender if the Night” by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Today I pray, “Dear God, I love seeing and hearing people come together in Love. It is my truest joy. Thank You for this. Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“The strongest guard is placed at the gateway to nothing. Maybe because the condition of emptiness is too shameful to be divulged.”
—F. SCOTT FITZGERALD
I keep receiving a message of a fan. Maybe because it is now June and temperatures are rising. I received the message of wind for months in 2015. And then the biggest windstorm in history arrived, I prayed for the safety of the people near the storm, and the storm subsided before it reached land. It was an utter miracle. Many people uttered prayers surrounding that windstorm, and the storm ceased. Prayers in great numbers, that’s my motto!
Lately, however, I have been receiving symbolism surrounding a fan. And along with this message is a gentle nudge that I am following my calling, and spirits are favoring it. “We’re your biggest fans.” This is out of my comfort zone. I don’t know what to do with this information. Summertime is a nice time to sit for a moment and enjoy the gentle, cool breeze when it arrives.
I don’t need to state my discernment of today’s passage, yet, given Saturday night’s events now prevalent in media reports, I think it is a little nudge to let me know how things turned out, and to say, “We’re your biggest fans. Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s colorful, breezy, and cool.”
