Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘Pilgrim at Tinker Creek’ by Annie Dillard.
Today I pray, “Dear God, I am ready to move among the world. It is time to travel and transition to a moveable feast of global discovery. I know You will be with me as I venture into the wilderness. No wandering can be too short or too long. My mission has begun. Thank You for creating a clearing for me to carry my tools and create for Your purpose. Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“Spend the afternoon, you can’t take it with you.”

Until I take up my pack and go, I get up and go to my job five days a week. It is in these hours when I realize that there is this remaining time on earth to change the world one occupation of peace-keeping at a time. Until God and I prepare Our haversack for the mission of expansion at hand, these conversations with people during my regular old workdays are priceless. I am full in gratitude in these moments, as I will look upon these connections as a gilded era. I thank God for every next step on my tourism of earth and earth’s people. I love to travel with God here.
