Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘ Successful Failures: Recognizing the Divine Role That Opposition Plays in Life’s Quest for Success’ by Lindsey Rietzsch.
Today I pray, “Dear God, I know I have opposition in my midst. And I’m OK with that because I cannot avoid it. So I accept it. I think of opposition as a complaint in human form. That’s all it is. A Complaint. In human form. No biggie. I’m not carrying that complaint. And I can’t please everybody all the time. Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“When it’s no longer just about you and the sake of succeeding just to succeed, you will see miracles happen!”

I oscillate. Sometimes I desire success. Most times, pure benevolence is my good gravity on earth. Authenticity wins. And it happens to be, at this juncture, that desiring success is authentic during some moments of some days. It is becoming more natural for me to get out of my head and be. Yearning is a state of mind. And balancing a yearning for my desires with a yearning for being and giving selflessly is a beautiful miracle to behold.
