Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘The Spiritual Secrets Of Happiness Health And Success: A Powerful And Practical Guide For Manifesting The Life You Truly Desire’ by Andrew C. Walton.
Today I pray, “Dear God, How can we better inspire others to manifest the lives they truly desire? Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“By accepting life situations, you will start to realize that most problems also bring with them opportunities. Opportunities to learn and change, to do something in a different and better way.”

I’m pretty excited about what happened tonight. I was not prepared for what I experienced and I must take the opportunity to share this with you. As posted on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, I received a joyous nod of sorts when I awoke to see on television a replaying of a portion of a comedy sketch aired on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert the night before. I had recently written a blog post a few days prior — on Thursday, January 28th — titled ‘IN A NEW YORK MINUTE’, in which I prayed for and wrote about the care and safety of the people of New York City. That day’s passage was “Remember to Mention Your Pet Frog.” In context, the passage drew upon the importance of humor in healing and recovery. I mentioned The Late Show and Saturday Night Live as examples of good natured humor. All in good fun.
Because the sketch in the next original broadcast of The Late Show — on Monday, February 1st — included Kermit the Frog, I had to repost the sketch upon learning of the connection. The full sketch is available to view in my February 2nd blog post titled ‘IT’S NOT EASY BEING KEEN’. The following Saturday after the ‘IN A NEW YORK MINUTE’ blog post, I felt oddly drawn to stay up to see if any frogs were mentioned in Saturday Night Live sketches there. It was a rebroadcast of a previously aired episode. No frogs. One week later — tonight, Saturday, February 6th — I happened to catch the airing of the original broadcast of Saturday Night Live. And when the sketch mentioning a frog becomes available online, I will post it below.
“Remember to Mention Your Pet Frog” was actualized by both The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Saturday Night Live in their following original broadcasts. These experiences were ones of true joy for me, whether by Godly design or by people responding to my ‘IN A NEW YORK MINUTE’ blog post. Either way, I’m still smiling. And I am grateful in a way surreal for any involvement that brought these laugh-out-loud connections to life. This is a manifestation of two comedy sketches I truly desired. Thank You!
