Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People’ by Dale Carnegie.
Today I pray, “Dear God, In the race to win the most votes for a leadership of living long and prospering, people could very well be out of their corn-fed minds. Is it madness that takes place in a fight for a top spot of “leader”? Or is it something else? And in the case of the former, how do we stop the madness?”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage:
“I have come to the conclusion that there is only one way under high heaven to get the best of an argument — and that is to avoid it. Avoid it as you would avoid rattlesnakes and earthquakes.”
—DALE CARNEGIE
Things just go better without arguments. Today’s youth see this. They operate at a higher vibration. Drama sells. So in the world of making money, arguments are a hot ticket item. But harmony is better. Let’s make making the world a better place not about making money. Let’s start there. I’ll pause for reaction of those who know nothing but the propensity to fight. The rest of us will ask that the response is a peaceful one.
