Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘The Chain Letter of the Soul’ by Bill Holm.
Today I pray, “Dear God, On a cold, wintry night, what is Your warm Presence gentle comfort? Amen.”
Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to this passage on page 168:
“In a thousand years
tapestry will turn into music,
marble into language,
colors into movement, and men
will all be reborn as women and give birth to themselves over and over again at a loom, weaving a shirt to cover the breasts of someone they love.”

This poem immediately brings to mind feelings of this harvest year. I see so many dreams coming true in the lives of those around me this year. I see specific seeds of thought born into fruition. This growth continues. A home complete with a baby sleeping. An invitation to the love of one’s life. A dance with a child to music from memories of our own childhood. And a choice to seek the daring exchange of one birth for another. And another. And another…
