Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘The Purpose Driven Life’ by Rick Warren.

Today I pray, “Dear God, I know that my life is filled with awesome purpose. Yet I have moments when I cannot even convince myself of this. What am I to do to have the energy to keep up a momentum day by day? Amen.”

I held the closed book in my hands, concentrating on my prayer, and opened the book to this passage:

“When you are doing what you love to do, no one has to motivate you.”

Well that was short and to the point! And that’s what I was looking for. I will put this at the forefront of my perspective. I do need to look in the direction of doing what I love. This daily practice was immensely fulfilling and surprisingly exciting until it wasn’t. And I have replaced all of these gifts with grievances. Bitter said complain, and so I did. But then it became a life of complaining, not of completing. And looking toward what I love is the next best step to take.
