WORDS OF HOPE

Today’s Prayer to Passage will be from the book ‘Life’s Little Instruction Book’ by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

Today I pray, “Dear God, What are Your words of Hope today?”

Following my prayer, I held the closed book in my hands and opened it to find this passage:

“Focus on making things better, not bigger.”
“Remain open, flexible, curious.”
—H. JACKSON BROWN, JR.

I tried to respond to yesterday’s passage, but my iPad was not responding to my typing and I was unable to post a response. So I left it blank. Today, I have hope that I can successfully post words in response to a passage. Hope doesn’t need to be maxed out, carried away, or over saturated. Hope shows up in a glimmer. It’s even better that way. When we allow minimalist hope to declutter our messy upsets, we invite possibility for wonder and joy to be present. That kind of understanding finds us whole, complete, and perfect as we are. Willing to grow, learn, and grow again.
